Brickbeard’s bounty was modeled after a traditional pirate ship from a LEGO set released many years earlier. This pirate set contains about 600 pieces and is certainly enjoyable to build.
Included are four pirate minifigures, two LEGO imperial guard figures, a daughter of the admiral, a mermid, and numerous animals such as monkeys and sharks. This pirate set will certainly keep you busy.
In addition, this set includes three shooting cannons, in addition to the captain’s corner which can be removed, as well as a net in order to hold prisoners in.
There are actually two ships in set #6243, as a small rowboat is included so that the imperial soldiers can make their assault on the pirate flag ship. The pirate flagship itself includes five sails, in addition to rigging on both of the two masts.
In addition, a number of different weapons are included besides the cannons and there are LEGO accessories galore with this set, including cutlasses, swords, pistols, and muskets.
This pirate LEGO set is certainly worth buying, although perhaps it is a little overpriced for which you get.
