The LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection is returning from a temporary hiatus in 2025, starting with 75429 AT-AT Driver Helmet.
LEGO Star Wars’ first brick-built helmets debuted in 2020, kicking off a subtheme that would continue uninterrupted until 2023. In that time, the collection pulled on threads from the original trilogy, The Mandalorian and The Clone Wars, offering a cross-section of named characters and generic troopers from a galaxy far, far away. But then 2024 came along with zero new additions to the portfolio.
That left the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection in a precarious place, and many LEGO fans presumed it was done and dusted. It was nice to have a complete collection you could pop a bow on and call done, but at the same time there were so many more characters that could have made the cut. And the LEGO Group clearly agrees, because it’s now resurrecting the series almost instantly with 75429 AT-AT Driver Helmet.
This latest addition to the collection shoots for one of the more obscure helmets from the Empire Strikes Back (we really only saw AT-AT Drivers on screen for a few seconds), recreating it in light grey with 730 pieces. It will retail for £69.99 in the UK, $69.99 in the US and €79.99 in Europe, and becomes the 12th helmet in the wider collection.
It’s an easy purchase if you’ve been collecting all the LEGO Star Wars helmets so far, but if you don’t have any of them, is this the time to start a collection? It could be: three previous helmets are still widely available, including 75304 Darth Vader Helmet, 75328 The Mandalorian Helmet and 75349 Captain Rex Helmet. The rest are retired, but you can still find some of them through select retailers.
For example, Brick Deals currently has stock of 75304 Scout Trooper Helmet, 75351 Princess Leia (Boushh) Helmet, 75350 Clone Commander Cody Helmet and 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet. That’s a great starting point for a LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection ahead of 75429 AT-AT Driver Helmet’s debut in March.
If you want a complete line-up, you’ll also need to track down 75277 Boba Fett Helmet, 75276 Stormtrooper Helmet, 75274 TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet and 75343 Dark Trooper Helmet. Only then will you know the true power of the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection…
